The CB antenna PNI LED 1000 with a length of 80 centimeters helps the emission and reception in the CB band at a distance of up to 10 km (in ideal conditions, without obstacles).
Factors influencing communication distance:
- Antenna length : longer antennas will have a greater range than shorter antennas.
- Mounting location : the higher the antenna is mounted, the better the range.
- Installation quality : installation mistakes, such as the lack of mass, will lead to a high SWR value and a limited range of action.
- The surrounding relief : The surrounding relief plays a huge role in determining the range of action. Obstacles, such as buildings or forested areas will limit the range of action.
Cable and mount for fixed attachment included
Thanks to the included accessories (butterfly type mount, RG58 cable and PL259 plug), mounting the antenna becomes a simple and fast thing:
- Connect the antenna to a separately purchased fixed support (for example: PNI SPA100 , PNI SPA110 , PNI L1 ) previously mounted on the car.
- Test the SWR in an open area using a reflectometer. In some cases it may be necessary to raise or shorten the wire to obtain an optimal SWR value. For optimal results, we recommend that this procedure, called calibration , be performed by authorized personnel with special equipment. Note: the PNI antennas are calibrated from the factory on the frequency 27.225Mhz (channel 22) .
- Connect the PL259 plug at the end of the antenna cable to the antenna plug on the back of the station.
